Droplets

The Fractured Way

A solo piano work that unfolds like a path that cannot quite hold together. Melodically compelling and emotionally layered, it moves through states of intimacy, disturbance, and quiet resilience, where moments of beauty are continually interrupted and reshaped.

Subtle instrumental effects blur the edges of the piano’s voice, creating a sound world that feels both grounded and slightly displaced. Harmonies shift with a sense of inevitability and surprise, rich, unsettling, and unexpectedly satisfying...drawing the listener into a landscape that is as alluring as it is unstable.

Inspired in part by the ideas of Jacques Lacan, the piece embraces fragmentation as something intrinsic rather than accidental. Lines falter, reform, and reach forward again, suggesting that the journey is not meant to resolve, but to continue through its own breaks.

There is a quiet heroism here, not in triumph, but in persistence.

Not in wholeness, but in the willingness to move through what cannot be made whole.
